Michael has led a distinguished career in the marketing, management and consulting fields. He was instrumental in the international expansion of a leading Fortune 500 conglomerate, the development of advertising sales for a major worldwide pay television group, and a firm he founded to reorganize companies, M&A opportunities, and marketing and communications programs.
He began his career in international business in 1977 in Caracas, Venezuela. For the next 18 years he served in top management positions with Foote, Cone & Belding, a leading integrated communications company, throughout South and Central America, Asia and the United States, opening offices, acquiring companies and managing turn around situations.
In early 1996 Mr. Cannon left FCB to become President of HBO Latin America Advertising Services where he positioned and launched the HBO family of channels for advertising sales throughout the Latin American region.
IMr. Cannon founded MCOM Corporation in 1998 at the request of clients who were searching for ways to increase their productivity, improve financial and operational results, find and develop equity partnerships, and acquire/divest themselves of assets.
A native of Indiana, Mr. Cannon holds a B.A. degree from Purdue University, an M.A. from the University of Iowa, and an M.B.A. in International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. He holds the certification of Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) in business valuations from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He has two grown daughters, is trilingual in English, Spanish and French, and his leisure interests include fishing, boat restoration and photography.
With 15 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant and consultant, Mr. Keppel has specialized in the Firm’s real estate consulting practice. Over the last eight years, he has developed and is responsible for over 1,200 cost segregation consulting projects for new and existing clients.
Mr. Keppel has led national seminars in the cost segregation area to various state CPA societies, AICPA, individual CPA practices nationwide, attorneys, as well as architects and bankers. His expertise in cost segregation studies encompasses industries such as fast food and restaurant, hotels, shopping centers/strip plazas, as well as manufacturing, health care, automobile and food processing.
During his professional career, Mr. Keppel has obtained a diverse background in all facets of the tax environment, including individual, fiduciary and corporate taxation. In addition, he has specialized in state and local taxation for companies involved in multi- state activities involving planning and research in the income/franchise and sales/use tax areas. Mr. Keppel has several years of experience with international “Big Four” public accounting firms, serving primarily in the consulting area of State and Local Taxes.
Mr. Keppel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Gary McBride is a 25-year veteran of the television and advertising industries in Latin America. His experience includes serving as the President and Founder of GEMS Television, President of Telemundo, the second largest Hispanic network in the United States, President of the Latin American division of Bates Worldwide Advertising as well as 10 years assisting Siboney Advertising in the expansion of their Latin American (today FCB) and US Hispanic market operations.
Mr. McBride also founded the Latin American Multichannel Advertising Council (LAMAC), the Latin American version of the US based Cable Advertising Bureau. It is funded by the major pay television channels and covers the entire Latin American region from Mexico to Argentina.
In his long and varied career Mr. McBride has become one of the most sought after business consultants in the marketing and communications area. He has worked with companies in the United States as well as most of Latin America.
Mr. McBride holds a B.A. in Business from the State University of New York and an MBA in International Business from The American School of International Management, Thunderbird, in Phoenix, Arizona. He is married with four children, fluent in Spanish and enjoys fishing and boating with his family during his free time.
